October is when the countertop calendar starts to get tight for anyone hoping to host the holidays with a finished kitchen. If you are planning a project in Franklin and want new countertops in place before family arrives, timing your decisions now makes a real difference in whether that is realistic. Whether you are leaning toward quartz countertops, kitchen countertops, or something else entirely, timing matters just as much as material for a Franklin kitchen ready by the holidays.

A Realistic Timeline From Selection to Install
From the day you choose your material to the day your countertops are installed, most projects take two to four weeks, covering template, fabrication, and install. That window can stretch during the fall as demand rises, so the earlier you lock in your selection, the more control you have over your install date.
What Speeds the Process Up
A few decisions early on can meaningfully shorten your timeline. Choosing an in stock material rather than a special order slab, finalizing your sink and faucet choices before template day, and making sure your cabinets are fully installed and level all remove common causes of delay.
- Choose from in stock slabs when possible
- Finalize sink, faucet, and appliance choices before template day
- Have cabinets installed and level ahead of your appointment
- Book your template appointment as early as possible
When to Start If You Want Countertops by the Holidays
If your goal is a finished kitchen for a specific holiday gathering, we recommend starting the selection process at least six to eight weeks out. That gives enough buffer for template, fabrication, and install, plus a little room for the unexpected, without leaving you scrambling in the final days before guests arrive in Franklin.

Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book a countertop install before the holidays?
We recommend starting the selection and template process at least six to eight weeks before your target date to leave room for fabrication and any scheduling adjustments.
Does choosing an in stock material really speed up the timeline?
Yes, special order slabs can add extra time to source and ship, while in stock materials are typically ready for fabrication as soon as your template is complete.
Can rush installs be accommodated in Franklin during peak season?
We do our best to accommodate rush timelines when possible, but availability depends on current scheduling, so reaching out as early as you can gives us the most flexibility to help.
